Many times, children in their developmental period present with different symptoms, outcome, and prognosis as adults of the same disease. Pediatrics serves to the special needs of the developing child into their adolescent age and systematically diagnoses and treats diseases that can occur during this period.
Pediatrics has grown to take many forms that encompasses subspecialties such as neonatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, allergy, pulmonology, hematology, oncology, and specialization in infection. Our hospital runs a pediatric ER that addresses the level of care from primary to highly specialized tertiary care. In addition to providing health care, our medical facility is dedicated to carrying out the core mission of educating and training future health care professionals, conduct research that translate into new techniques and discoveries, promote intercommunication between hospitals of different regions, and promote electronic computation of individual's health care information.
In regards to educating future medical professionals, our faculty members conduct lectures based on their subspecialties and oversee that various cases can be provided for education and clerkship in the hospital setting.
