The Department of Dentistry at School of Medicine was established to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dental diseases and oro-facial disorders to the medical students, and also to extend the specialized clinical training for the dentist who will contribute to the oral health management and to the improvement in oral health science.

The faculties of the department are consisted of oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, prosthetic dentistry, periodontology, pediatric dentistry and restorative dentistry. They also provide advanced education program at the Graduate School of Clinical Dentistry for the female dentists who are practicing general dentistry at a local hospital or at a private dental clinic.

The graduate school program offers a five-semester post-graduate program for studying at the candidates' areas of specialization in which they receive systematic instruction in the latest medical techniques and clinical training for the advancement of treatment skills. This programs are not only serving as advanced training programs enabling dentists to master new clinical approaches and techniques while maintaining their current profession, but also conferring the degree of Master of Dental Science (MDSc) upon successful completion of all required courses.

In addition to the full-time faculties who are highly recognized in their respective fields, the department of dentistry invited excellent teaching staff with outstanding professionalism and a strong sense of mission. The faculties are conducting exchange programs and also are collaborative in research works with prestigious universities and educational institutions including Branemark Implant Center (Sweden), Harvard School of Dental Medicine (USA), University of Florida (USA), University of Minnesota (USA), and Tokyo Dental University (Japan).
